Redhouse Lane has scooped an environmental award from Camden Council for our groundbreaking green thinking.
The Environmental Excellence in Camden Organisations (EECO) Awards recognise achievements and improvement made by organisations towards environmental sustainability in the London Borough of Camden.
We were honoured with The Small Steps Award for Innovation in Sustainability Communications and Behaviour Change for a series of environmental improvements. These included growing our own vegetable garden, promoting recycling and encouraging staff to climb the height of Ben Nevis in stairs, instead of taking the lift.
Ian Samuels, PR Manager and resident green guru, collected the award at a ceremony at Londons Centre Point on Thursday.
The calibre of the competition was extremely impressive so I was delighted that we won, said Ian.
We've always tried to get our staff involved. And it's the little things that make a big difference: like our green suggestion scheme Leaf a Suggestion for which staff members could leave their environmental ideas on a model tree in the office.
